The accommodations in the Tree House are both a brilliant idea and stylish. The use of natural materials perfectly enhances the sense of connection with the surrounding nature. The cottage was clean, very well-maintained, and the hotel staff was exceptionally friendly. A big plus is the great location—Slide Park is right nearby, and it’s only a 10-minute walk to the Lienka A4 chairlift. The food (breakfast and dinner) at the main hotel was good, though the meals tend to be lighter and less salty, which is likely tailored to the higher number of child guests. I was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. It was our first time there, and we stayed in the Tree House. The rooms were functionally furnished, with every centimeter of space put to good use. Everything was clean. I appreciated the towels and bathrobes provided. The food was also top-notch, including the gluten-free options. The only thing I would have liked to see was a wider selection of gluten-free desserts. The wellness area was small, but it was more than enough, and I didn’t feel like we were crammed in, even though the hotel was fully booked. Entertainment activities were advertised, but I didn’t see a single entertainer during my stay. They could include information on where the activities take place in the activity schedule. The highlight 🍒 of the trip 🎂 was the walk with a LOCAL GUIDE.   The Björnson & Björnson Hotel Tree Houses Jasná—known locally as Björnsonka—is a year-round mountain resort in Demänovská Dolina (No. 77, 031 01) in the Low Tatras, located right in the Jasná ski resort. The resort is located next to the ski slopes and lifts, in close proximity to the Biela púť base station. GPS: 48.966856, 19.582067.

• What types of accommodations does Björnsonka offer?

  Björnsonka is a mountain resort that offers, within a single complex, rooms in the main hotel building (Hotel Björnson) and the Björnson Tree Houses —minimalist, modern cabins in the Scandinavian style. All resort guests have access to shared facilities, including a restaurant, an outdoor wellness center, and conference rooms.

• How many rooms does the resort have, and what is its total capacity?

  The main hotel building has 27 rooms in four categories, and the outdoor area features 46 Tree Houses in three categories, for a total of 74 accommodations. The total capacity is 172 regular beds and 130 extra beds, or 302 guests, making it suitable for groups and corporate events.

• Is Björnsonka open year-round or only during the ski season?

  Björnsonka is a year-round resort. In winter, it serves skiers at the Jasná Ski Resort; in spring, summer, and fall, it serves as a base for hiking, cycling, and family or wellness getaways.

• How do I get to the resort (by car, by public transportation)?

  Take the D1 highway to Liptovský Mikuláš, then drive through the Demänovská Valley toward Jasná. The nearest train and bus stations are in Liptovský Mikuláš. The nearest airports are in Poprad, followed by Bratislava, Košice, Kraków, and Budapest. We’re happy to arrange transportation from Liptovský Mikuláš or an airport transfer upon request.

• Is there parking at the resort, and is it free?

  Yes, free parking is available on the resort grounds for guests staying at the resort.

• Is Björnsonka suitable for families with children?

  Yes. The resort offers Tree Houses , which is ideal for families with children, as well as family rooms in the hotel building. There is also a children’s play area, a playground, a gazebo with a grill, and a seasonal children’s entertainment program. The outdoor wellness facilities and easy access to the ski slopes and trails make for a comfortable stay for both parents and children.

• Are pets allowed at the resort?

  Yes, our resort is also pet-friendly. Pets are welcome upon advance notice, for a fee according to the current price list. Out of consideration for other guests, pets are not allowed in the wellness center or the hotel restaurant.

• What is included in the price of the accommodation?

  In addition to accommodations, the price of the stay for all our guests includes half-board meals and wellness services. Guests may also use our parking lot and all hotel facilities—such as the playground, children’s play area, and gazebo with a grill—free of charge. Massages and other additional services are billed separately.
